Wake up above the trees
Start the morning on the porch as the light moves through the surrounding bush and across the property below. From Grevillea’s higher position, there are glimpses towards the lake through the trees, while birds and wildlife provide a soundtrack that changes throughout the day.
Beyond the cabin, around 35 acres of Wombat’s Den are waiting to be explored. Follow the walking tracks through the property, wander towards William Wallace Creek or listen for lyrebirds calling from the gullies adjoining Bunyip State Park.
Gembrook and the surrounding ranges are only minutes away when you feel like venturing further. Or stay close to home, light the fire and spend the evening watching the bush settle around you.
Your own place in the bush
Grevillea is designed as a comfortable base for two, with enough space to settle in and spend some proper time here rather than simply somewhere to sleep.
The separate bedroom has a king bed and ceiling fan, while the living and dining area centres around the wood fireplace. A full kitchen makes staying in easy, whether you’re putting together breakfast before a walk or cooking dinner after a day exploring Gembrook.
Outside, the covered porch gives you another place to slow down and take in the surrounding bush, while the bathtub offers a good excuse to do very little at all.

A stay at Grevillea includes more than the space inside the cabin. Wombat’s Den stretches across around 35 acres adjoining Bunyip State Park, with bushland, walking tracks, a rainforest creek and plenty of places to wander, explore or simply stop for a while.
Wildlife is part of life here too. Lyrebirds are regularly seen and heard around the property, alongside kangaroos, wombats and a remarkable variety of native birdlife.
